This is a song I was inspired to write during a songwriting workshop I took in early 2022 with Robin Pecknold of the Fleet Foxes. The first homework assignment was a prompt for writing a song based on a question that you come up with and answer with a song. Having watched a fair amount of shows during the late part of 2021 while holding a sleeping baby in the evenings, my question was: "What if I wrote a country song for the Yellowstone soundtrack, what would it sound like?" Well, here it is. Giddy up!
